Aqua Medic Turboflotor 5000 Single - 410.2
The 5000 series protein skimmers have been developed for larger aquaria. Just like the smaller models, they feature venturi pumps (Ocean Runner 3500) which include a needle wheel for optimal mixing of air and water.
The reaction cylinder has a diameter of 200 mm (c. 8”). Above the cylinder, the patented conical foam cup improves the production of foam. The inlets and outlets of the skimmer are designed to ensure an extensive contact time for the air bubbles within the counter-current.
To supply the skimmer with water, a separate pump with a capacity of 2000 - 4000 l/h (c.500 - 1000 gph), e,g, Ocean Runner 3500, is required.
