Comline Reefpack 500 and Riverpack 600 can be extended by other Comline components in a perfect manner. Depending on the aquarium biotope and the aquarium size, the performance can be increased.
In its oxidation and reduction zones, the Comline bio-reactor simulates marsh habitats in nature. The unit contains a fill of highly porous GRANOVIT granulate (highest biological degradation activity 300 m²/l), and is constantly supplied with a small volume of the filtered water from Comline filter 3166/3167. For this reason, it does not require any special servicing and can also be used as a hydroponics reactor. Plants, which are cultivated without soil, grow vigorously because the organic material decomposed by bacteria can be absorbed directly by the roots in a concentrated form. At the same time, the aquarium water is cleansed, which is especially important for the care and breeding of cichlidae. The bio/hydro reactor can be used to cultivate mangroves in saltwater. In this case it has a similar biological action as about 20 kg of live rock.
Together with Filter 3166/3167 and a bio connector, the reactor is installed in a matter of a few minutes. Other reactors can be connected without any addition accessories.
Delivery condition: Ready for mounting with GRANOVIT and holding device similar to Comline filter.
