 In the Eheim Aquaball filter, the
ball does the trick.
The round pump head sits in a ball joint and this allows the outflow direction to be adjusted to your preference.
The flow rate is set at the output regulator and the air supply is dosed via the new POWERDIFFUSOR. During all of this, the filter
remains in its position.
It can’t be any easier.
The filter is simply taken out of the holder to clean, replace parts or add filter media. Then the pump head and the canister can be
taken apart and reassembled in a jiffy. On completion, the whole filter is clipped into the holder in the aquarium. That’s it!
The Aquaball's round filter modules are designed so that the aquarium water is sucked in over a 360° radius - over almost the entire
outer surface. Four internal filters and a Powerhead filter aerate aquariums up to 200 litres in volume, or they provide for flow.
A large number of uses are possible thanks to the pump output of up to 650 litres, all generated very quietly by ceramic components.
All Aquaball models have a modular design so the filter volume can be adapted to the specific aquarium by adding or removing filter
elements from the EHEIM Aquaball expansion set.
 All components are clipped or plugged in - no
tools are necessary. It’s really easy.
The filter holder clip is mounted on the glass with suction holders. Then the filter is inserted into it. The media box is located
directly under the rotating pump head (except for Powerhead and the 2006).
It can be filled with a filter pad for fine filtration, a foam filter pad for biological filtration or with substrat pro.
The blue foam filter pad is included in the packing. The filter modules with the phenol free filter sponges are located below it (the
volume can be increased later by purchasing an expansion set).
The accessories also include activated carbon cartridges which remove odorous substances or residues of medication quickly and
efficiently.
The pump output is regulated by a knob and the supplied POWERDIFFUSOR produces many little bubbles which are carried far into the
aquarium.
Accessories
Aquaball is fully equipped but there are a number of useful accessories:
- Elements of the installation SET can be used instead of the POWERDIFFUSOR – e.g. extension pieces and nozzle set.
- Different filter media (pad, foam pad and substrat pro) can be used in the media box (included in the packing with foam filter pad
for biological filtration).
- Biologically working filter cartridges as well as absorptive working filter sponges can be used in filter modules with all round
priming.
